Visitors observe trained, captive-bred birds of prey, including hawks, falcons, and owls, soar free and return to a guide. After a discussion about the history of falconry, they don a falconry glove and pose for a photo with one of the raptors. Visitors should bring their cameras; view more information here.
The Falconry Academy
Whether they’re hunting squirrels in the woods or pheasants out in open fields, birds of prey are quite literally hardwired for falconry. Of course, the art of falconry builds on nature, teaching eagles, owls, hawks, and falcons to hunt on their masters’ command. This is The Falconry Academy’s speciality. It has been training birds of prey and educating the public since 1992.
