Kiss Me, Kate is Cole Porter's jazzy musical comedy about a former husband-and-wife acting team waging war against each other while trying to stage a production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Scenery-chewing director and actor Fred Graham and his ex-wife Lili Vanessi are the quintessential "can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em" couple, and a brilliantly funny rendering of egotistical artistic types. In its original 1948 production, Kiss Me, Kate won five Tony awards, including Best Musical. It features classic Cole Porter numbers such as "Too Darn Hot," "I Hate Men" and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare." See this Broadway by the Bay production at Fox Theatre in Redwood City.
