With its piping-hot filling and warm tortilla parka, the burrito is not just the ultimate winter dish. It’s an emblem of humankind’s resiliency against the elements. The word ‘burrito’ was a Viking war cry long before it came into culinary use, and today both the term and the delicacy we associate with it continue to inspire us to battle—against the snow, the wind, and the icy temperatures that assail us every winter. Groupon’s Brrrrrito Day salutes the noble burrito, not only for its endlessly variable flavor but also for its deliciously stylish outerwear and the important role it plays in making winter palatable to us all.
