Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

What does makeup assistance mean?

Caitlin F.  asked on  Jan 24, 2013

A:

This means you arrive with your hair/makeup done, and our expert touches you up to make you camera ready (for example, de-shining you, changing a lip color that won't translate well on-camera, adding contours, taming fly-aways) and then she subtly alters your hair/makeup from look one, to look two, to look three. It's far better to purchase the FULL HOUR expert hair/makeup---only $100. with this offer, 33%-off the usual $150. price. With the full hour, you can literally roll out of bed and show up! Additionally, our experts are skilled in working with my particular style of photography, which requires a completely different look than, say, event makeup or night-out makeup, which is what a traditional salon artist will do. And you also get 3 dramatically different looks from one-to-three---casual, rocker-sexy, pin-up--you name it! Just sit back, sip champagne, and let our artist take over: )

Q:

Do you own the rights to your photos? Will you have ownership of high quality proofs of the photos and freedom to print them wherever you want?

Dominique N.  asked on  Jan 24, 2013

A:

Absolutely, The images belong to you, and you may do with them as you please. If we would like to use any for promotional purposes, we seek your permission and require a written release, for your protection AND ours: )

Do you have to provide your own wardrobe for either deal?

Eileen D.  asked on  Jan 25, 2013

What Should I Wear For My Shoot? This is YOUR shoot–you should wear whatever it is that makes you feel beautiful, sexy and confident. Many women who are shy begin their shoot in full clothing, or wearing a robe. As their comfort level rises during the shoot, they take off clothing to the point at which they’re comfortable. Others walk in and strip down to almost nothing. It’s all up to you. You have 3 (THREE) looks to shoot, but it’s better to bring more options than that, and work with the team to whittle down to the 3 you’ll shoot. If in doubt, bring it Our team will go through your options and work with you to select the best looks for you in the shoot, so the more options you bring the better. We’ve had clients pose in their boyfriend's basketball jerseys; Catholic school girl outfits; Victoria's Secret tank tops and short shorts; tame lingerie (baby dolls, full silk robes); not-so-tame lingerie (corsets, G-strings, garter belts/thigh highs); sexy Halloween costumes; ball gowns with tiaras; fetish gear (leather, whips); and even some with their boyfriends/girlfriends in the shoot One thing is certain: high heels will always make your legs look longer and sexier. Whatever your choice, our stylist will assist you and be sure it’s looking good on you during the shoot. We’ll also have a range of wardrobe options and props you may incorporate, if you wish, at no cost. You should also bring a robe to wear to keep your outfit clean and for your own comfort. Visit our website’s boudoir section for inspiration http://lemlerphotography.com What Wardrobe Items Do You Offer? It’s an ever-changing, ever-growing collection You can view some of our wardrobe options on our clients at: http://lemlerphotography.com/portfolio/boudoir We provided everything except the pink bra/panty set and the black/red/lace bra/panty set. (NOTE: We have a range of panties in various sizes/styles/colors, and our policy is that if you even try them on, you keep them. Free. Their yours. No charge–no panty recycling ) We also hand launder any items worn by clients---corsets, robes, tank tops, jackets, etc.--before returning them to the rack. We have a range of sports attire and equipment; Catholic school girl outfits; French maids/duster; wife-beaters and tank tops; short shorts; all types/colors of stockings; cocktail dresses; men’s business shirts and ties; a Matrix coat; pearls; feathers; jewelry; tame lingerie (baby dolls, full silk robes); not-so-tame lingerie (corsets, G-strings, garter belts/thigh highs); fetish gear (leather one-pieces, ticklers, handcuffs, chains, whips); a vast range of hats; and a ton of heels. BUT we're a photography studio, not a department store, so we can't guarantee you'll find exactly what you want in your size----that's why we recommend arriving with 3 strong options, then meeting with our stylist to determine your 3 final looks---you may end up using all of your stuff, some, or none--based on your desires and your sizing...

Q:

$95 for a 1.5-hour photo shoot session with CD, online gallery, hair and makeup assistance, and wardrobe stylist (a $525 value) With this offer, let say I want to have my make up and my hair done by your service, how much the addition fee? I would bring some of my wardrobe, but my husband just going to wear yours, is that fine? Thank you for your assistance :)

Heaven G.  asked on  Jan 25, 2013

A:

The full hour expert hair/makeup session is currently $100. (that's 33%-off--it's usually $150.) Since this is boudoir, the majority of our wardrobe items are female-geared. What size is your husband and how is he interested in dressing? Will he be with you in all 3 looks? (Feel free to respond in private at lemlerphoto@gmail.com if you prefer: )

I would like to know, this offer for a couple or only for 1 person, thank you

Heaven G.  asked on  Jan 24, 2013

A:

Yes! We shoot couples all the time. You have 3 looks total, so you could do all 3 looks as a couple, or you could mix it up with each of you doing an individual look, then doing your last look as a couple, etc.
