What You'll Get
Eating at home is so relaxing that your body may fall asleep mid-digestion—ergo, it's best to eat as close to a game of darts as possible. Worry your way into a well-digested meal with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of pub fare at Bruno’s Tavern in Uptown.
Bruno’s staff of grill gurus and tap maestros has satiated taste buds with a menu of hearty pub fare and lively libations since 1934, now working within a spiffy new building equipped with game tables and 10 high-definition TVs. Start a round of eating, praying, loving, and waltzing with a heaping of Debris fries ($8.99)—potato skins bedecked with Creole seasoning, roast beef, cheddar cheese, and horseradish-cream sauce—before moving onto meatier munchables, such as the grilled-chicken platter ($10.25); the 8-ounce Flaming Bruno burger soused in Crystal hot sauce ($8.50); or the Buffalo Bruno ($8.25), a fried chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce, topped with blue cheese, and side-saddled with ranch dressing. A caesar salad ($6.50) makes for a leafy alternative to meat, and the shrimp-loaded Firecracker salad ($11.75) simultaneously quells cravings for chlorophyll and seafood without having to master the art of photosynthesizing underwater. Sample the hoppy delights of one of more than 10 on-tap beers, such as Abita Amber ($4) or Stella Artois ($4.50), or hone your gargling skills with a glass of wine from a cache that includes Mezzacorona pinot grigio ($6.50).
Guests can gander at the walls featuring local sports memorabilia while they convince a bartender to help them commandeer the nearby Saint Charles Avenue Streetcar for personal limo use. Put Newton's laws of motion and Einstein's theory of backhanded bank shots to the test on a billiards table, or try your hand at darts or shuffleboard.

About Bruno's Tavern
Bruno's Tavern has occupied three corners of Maple and Hillary since it opened in 1934. But thanks to a rebuilding project ten years ago, the pub's collection of Tulane, Saints, and other sports memorabilia hangs on the walls alongside giant plasma TVs. Patrons can sip 20 types of draft beer and chow on debris po’ boys, loaded baked potato fries, and jumbo wings. The tavern welcomes kids until 6 p.m. daily.
