What You'll Get
If stock cars weren't invented by Thomas Jefferson, competitive races would pit washing machines against each other to see which could aggressively vibrate the fastest. Drive a Jeffersonsonian invention with today's Groupon to Buck Baker Racing School, redeemable at Darlington Raceway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, or Bristol Motor Speedway. Choose from one of the following rubber-burning options:
- For $350, you get a Let's Roll driving package (a $775 value), which includes basic driving and safety instruction, a ride with an instructor, and 20–30 solo laps.
- For $250, you get a half-day Ride and Drive package (a $595 value), which includes basic driving and safety instruction, a ride with an instructor, and 10–20 solo laps.
- For $60, you get a Hot Lap ride along with an instructor (a $119 value), which includes five exhilarating laps around the track as a passenger.
The Buck Baker Racing School stakes its claim as the first NASCAR-type school in the country, started in 1980 by former Sprint Cup champion Buck Baker, who has trained racing stars Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Ryan Newman. The school's masters of acceleration instruct motorpupils during informative classes before helping them strap on provided helmets and fire suits and climb into speedy chariots with buttered wheels. Friends and family are encouraged to attend driving and riding programs and take snapshots or fingerpaint the action.
Though few reviews are available for Buck Baker Racing School, here’s what a few of its customers had to say:
