What do I need for my first race?
Welcome! For your first race, please head to the front counter to get started. First-time racers must fill out a registration waiver (required for kart racing). Juniors will need a parent or legal guardian to sign the waiver. Before racing, you'll also have a driver briefing where they’ll explain the rules, flags, and kart operation. There’s a $6 annual license fee (which is included in your Groupon), which covers the use of helmets, headsocks, kart parts, and the online scoring system. After that, you’re all set to race and have fun!
Do I need any special equipment?
No, they provide helmets and headsocks. For safety reasons, open-toed shoes and high heels are not permitted, and long hair must be tied back. However, closed-toed shoes are not provided, so please bring your own
Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes, you can bring your own helmet as long as it has a full-face shield and is DOT approved
Am I racing against everyone?
Kind of, but not really! You’re mainly racing against the clock. The fastest way around the track is to avoid contact with other karts and barriers, as these slow down your momentum. Fastest lap times win!
Can I bump into anyone or anything on the track?
Please don’t! Any intentional or unintentional contact with other karts or the barrier can result in being removed from the track without a refund. They want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Track personnel may give a warning, but it’s not guaranteed. Keep it safe and smooth for a fun ride!
