About Budapest Bistro
Budapest Bistro was opened by Elizabeth Muszka in 2004 who had moved to the US from a small village in Hungary. It was her family who taught her how to cook and now she uses her homemade recipes to make authentic Hungarian dishes. She believes in using only natural ingredients that ensure the original flavors. When she was a child and prepared meals for her family, she used fresh vegetables from their garden and meat from their livestock. Now, she wants to share the very same flavors with others. Some of the dishes she offers in Budapest Bistro are:
- Hungarian classic beef goulash: A mix of beef, onion, bell peppers, and tomatoes, all served over house-made spätzle.
- Wiener schnitzel: Breaded, pan-fried pork cutlets served with red cabbage and German-style potatoes.
- Sour cherry soup: A cold soup with a powerful cherry flavor and a hint of sour.
- Hungarian and Bavarian desserts: Such as Kremes and Dobos cakes.
