Light therapy may help reduce the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder, and generally improve one’s mood, focus, and overall wellbeing
What You'll Get
- One 15–30-Minute SunBox Light Therapy Session
- Two 15–30-Minute SunBox Light Therapy Sessions
Light boxes are sources of bright light during the fall and winter months used to help increase your quality of sleep and overall well being. To use a light box as a bright light source, the light should be in front of a user, angled so that the light shines onto the face, and the eyes should be open. It is not necessary to look directly into the light; most people read while using their light box. Eyeglasses or contact lenses may be worn, but heavily tinted glasses will reduce the amount of light received. Average use at the 10,000 lux distance is roughly 15 – 30 minutes per session. Actual time for a particular individual will vary.
