In addition to the beverages brought from home, students also munch on light snacks provided by the studio while working through a rotating schedule of projects such as a birdhouse inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night for feathered friends, a Monet-inspired beverage tray for human friends, and paintings of birds and humans making crafts together.
Younger artisans can celebrate life's landmarks with two-hour birthday parties, choosing a theme from options such as friendly felt monster dolls, crowns and wands, handmade journals, or a keepsake canvas filled with tiny handprints. Crafty party planners lead the sessions, offering guidance and fueling creativity with pastries from nearby Daisy Cakes. About Bull City Craft
Married couple Jessica Greene and Franklin Santana founded Bull City Craft as a social hub for the Durham crafting community. Events for all ages fill their calendar, such as Paint and Pours, during which adults sip wine while painting or crafting. Other sessions include drop-in crafting sessions where kids can paint and decorate wooden shadow boxes with mementos or string together beaded jewelry. Youngsters can also opt for more structured classes and summer camps or celebrate getting one year closer to buying business-casual outfits during craft-theme birthday parties.
The shop stocks art supplies ranging from paints by Lefranc & Bourgeois or Amsterdam to canvases, scissors, and glue.
