Q&A with Andrea Kane, Owner, Instructor
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
By results. If it were easy it wouldn't be called working out. The yoga classes are small, instructors give hands-on adjustment. The YogaBarre and Barre classes are limited to six people and while super challenging, are very fun and the music keeps the energy up.
Do you believe in the maxim, "No pain, no gain”? Why or why not?
Sharp, hot pain, no. Next day, muscles were worked type if pain, sure.
Besides working out, what else can clients do to spend their time at your facility?
Next door we offer massage, waxing and skincare.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Yes. The Align Cardio Barre™ and Align Cardio Yoga Barre™ classes are high-energy, low-impact and integrate dance music, yoga, pilates, strength and weight training with squats. The Barre class is approximately 45 minutes of leg, arm and ab work then students take it to the floor for more directed core and strength work; YogaBarre is 40 minutes of leg, arm and ab work, that moves into a power flow routine settling into deep stretching and breathing on the mats. Because the classes are small, the instructor is able to ensure all poses and positions are done correctly with good alignment to minimize injuries.
