Q:

Does the doctor accept the care credit card? And I also wondered why some Dr.'s use no visible stitches, and some use stitches that look like rail road tracks. I would like to know the reasoning behind that.

Cheryl  asked on  Dec 14, 2012

A:

We accept all of the major credit cards, except American Express. As for why different doctors will have techniques that vary so much, this would first be the result of the type of training that the doctors have had. Beyond that, some surgeons do not perform these surgeries often enough to develop their own skills or to create innovative methods. I have done hundreds of these surgeries every year for more than twenty years, so I have had the opportunity to make continual small improvements to my methods while my skills have also improved. This is why my clients have a much more rapid recovery time, and this is why clients come to me when they are not happy with the results achieved elsewhere.

Q:

Your website says you use "stitchless" surgery. Does that mean you use the technique of glue? Also... before purchasing such an expensive procedure, is there an option to come in for a consultation? Thank you!

Jan B.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

No adhesive is needed. You are welcome to schedule a free consultation. Sometimes, our laser resurfacing of the lower eyelids is a better choice than having blepharoplasty surgery.

Q:

Any hidden costs? Is this the entire cost out the door?

Grant S.  asked on  Dec 13, 2012

A:

There are no other costs. We only expect that you will send more clients our way.

Q:

Do you have references where we can ask a couple of people about their results?

Patricia G.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

Our web site has a video of a client who had upper eyelid surgery. We are in the process of compiling testimonials on that web site. burienmedicaleyecare.com

Q:

I had eyelid surgery 10 years ago. My lower lids now droop where you can see inside them. I hate the way it looks. I where eyeliner inside the eye line to make it less noticeable. Is this something that can be fixed with this group on?

Lori R.  asked on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

I would like to add to our reply. The method by which I perform the lower eyelid blepharoplasty is a more difficult procedure for the surgeon to master, but one which avoids the result that you are now describing. Some doctors who still use that technique will add a second operation at the same time to lift the resulting droop. I can make a permanent correction for your problem with an in-office procedure.

Michael S.  from  Merchant  replied on  Dec 12, 2012

A:

No this is not something the groupon would cover. However, Dr. Steiner does perform a procedure that would take care of that problem, so if you would like to come in for a consult, we would check and see if insurance would cover this procedure for you.
