Massages soothe muscles sore from naps in uncomfortable chairs and long nights of aggressive rapid eye movement. Recover from relaxing with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $25 for one 60-minute Swedish massage (a $50 value)
- $35 for one 60-minute anti-cellulite or cupping massage (a $75 value)
Gliding Swedish strokes assuage stress, bolster circulation, and imbue a sense of calm. Alternatively, an intensive anti-cellulite Lyposagge uses cupping techniques to separate the skin from fat pockets, dissipating those unsightly deposits without surgery. A series of 10 Lypossage treatments is recommended for best results. A simple cupping massage uses the same suction techniques to lift the skin, which safeguards against muscle atrophy and improves blood circulation.
Burnett's Massage and Bodywork
Though she earned her degree in therapeutic massage in 2010 and became certified shortly after, Sheila Burnett has been healing sore muscles and tending to stresses for the better part of eight years. Now that she has the credentials to back up her nimble fingers and knack for relaxation, Sheila draws on her training in at least nine massage modalities—from traditional Swedish and deep-tissue massages to myofascial release—to tailor her sessions to suit each client’s needs. She has worked with clients at all stages of life, easing aches in seniors and children with gentle strokes and employing firm pressures to relieve the stresses of marathon text messaging in teens. Sheila's in-house licensed aesthetician, Mandy Early, augments massages with custom facials, waxing, and body wraps.
A Chat with Burnett's Massage and Body Work
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
At Burnett's Massage, every session is began with questions about your current condition. The session is then geared towards the needs of the client. We feel that every person is unique and treatment is based on that. A strong belief that massage should be effective and affordable is a top priority
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Massage therapy has been a long time passion. I knew the very first time I laid my hands on a client, that this was what I was meant to do in life. So after 10 years of practice, I have definitely found my calling.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love about my career as a Certified Therapeutic Massage Therapist is that I have the most rewarding job ever. I still cannot think of any other career where I get to make people feel amazing, ease aches and pains, and just allow clients to have much needed quiet "me time".
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
The positive feedback I get from clients is that they feel I listened to them about their body and that I was able to melt away the problem areas. The best compliment is when my clients refer others! Word of mouth is my best form of advertising.
