Busalacchi’s A Modo Mio
Though Busalacchi's was established in 1986, it wasn't until 2011 that the restaurant found its current home along Hillcrest's restaurant row. Still, little besides the address has changed: chef Joe Busalacchi still helms the kitchen with his big personality and a knack for churning out delicious Italian and Sicilian dishes.
Instead of belting out The Star-Spangled Banner, visitors can start meals simply with shared plates, including pesto crepes served with cream sauce. Further down the menu, homemade pastas—such as ravioli stuffed with butternut squash—lead into a small collection of entrees headlined by pan-seared salmon topped with a spicy roasted tomato arrabiatta. Busalacchi’s guests can enjoy their visit inside the romantic, sharply appointed dining room or out on a breezy patio.
