Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2015, the family-friendly park honors its past with commemorative exhibits and events while helping families build new memories with exciting rides, exquisite dining, and kid-friendly games and attractions. The park’s new Tempesto roller coaster, named after the mythical Italian stuntman, sends riders racing through incredibly tight turns at speeds of up to 63 mph before rolling them through a complete inversion at 154 feet in the air. Featuring three launches and a classic loop-the-loop, the thrill coaster is just one of the must-see attractions at Virginia’s most iconic theme park.
Water Country USA
As Virginia’s largest water park, Water Country USA has a big job: keeping the entire state cool during the long, hot summer. Fortunately, the park is more than up to the tasks, offering more than 25 splash-filled rides and attractions for every member of the family. Cool off in a refreshing pool, float down the lazy river, or take on the Colossal Curl, the park’s first family thrill ride. In addition to excitement, the park also devotes equal time to safety; swim lessons and classes help guests stay safe and confident around the water.
