Hr WWII Aviation Cadet Immersion Experience
AAviation Cadet Immersion Experience Companion - Ground Only
Experience the life of a WWII Aviation Cadet in this immersion experience. Your day begins with check-in and flight gear issue (loaned). Then move through both ground and flight instruction as your instructors and support personnel guide you through your first day as a World War II Aviation cadet. Your experience includes 3 separate training flights, totaling 2 flight hours in the PT-19. Approximately 3.5 hours total of classroom/ ground instruction consisting of instructor time and training videos. Lunch will be served in a mess kit. The day ends with the graduation ceremony and the pinning on of your wings. (WWII Replica Pilot Wings; WASP version for the ladies), Followed by a debrief in the officers club with drinks and snacks. The Companion Experience Option is for people who wish to do the classroom portion only. Must be used In conjunction with a partner who is taking the full experience. You also have your choice of a Butler County Warbirds Baseball Cap or T-shirt to keep. Please note this experience requires a minimum outside air temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit to take place. Cadets must be 16 years old. (No Exceptions) Cadets less than 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. The maximum Weight of flying participants is 235 lbs. (Up to 260 lbs with advance notice)

As a not-for-profit military history museum, Butler County Warbirds preserves and showcases pieces of aviation history for the purposes of educating and entertaining the public. Utilizing the hard work of volunteers–who help repair, restore, and maintain the aircraft—the organization shares the fruits of its labor in a multitude of ways, including public appearances, flight experiences, and with free displays. Funds collected for flight experiences go towards the restoration of aircraft and artifacts.
