The rustic and minimal interior of Bywoods is juxtaposed by a "refreshingly straightforward menu" that is at once simplistic, colorful, and creative. Influenced by the culinary palette of flavors and hues found in Italy and the Mediterranean, the menu begins with a collection of flatbreads topped with combinations such as fig, prosciutto, gorgonzola, and a pile of fresh, peppery arugula after the pie emerges from the oven. Beyond that, first courses of beet salad with charred red onion in a walnut dressing segue into richer plates that display juicy, cooked-to-order pan-seared lamb sirloin, apricot, and an aromatic, Moroccan-spiced jus. Meals are rounded out by quaint and pretty desserts such as a rich, dark, brownie over a vanilla-bean-flecked sauce, topped with an airy cloud of whipped cream that's tied down to the plate by commandeering berries.
