What You'll Get
Creative talents, like celebrities and houseplants, wilt without proper attention. Nurture your artistic aptitudes with today’s Groupon: for $32, you get for four drop-in classes at the California Arts Academy (a $64 value).
After supplying Fresno with more than 50 years of classical ballet, the California Arts Academy now offers an expanded repertoire of dance, music, drama, language, and art courses for children and adults. The schedule for the fall session, which begins August 22, invites dancers to drop in for classes in styles such as jazz, tap, modern, Irish step, and the interpretive hokey pokey. As home to the Severance Ballet Conservatory, the Academy maintains a rigorous lineup of basic to advanced ballet classes where dancers pirouette across wood or sprung marley floors in expansive mirrored studios. A walk through the Academy’s corridors will also reveal musicians plucking at guitar strings and actors delivering monologues. Attend four different classes while wearing a starched ruff in the spirit of a Renaissance revivalist, or return to the same class to develop a focused skill.

About California Arts Academy
With eclectic backgrounds, the staff of California Arts Academy brings students their own distinctive expertise and worldviews. They strive to help students not only become better performers, but also positive members of the community. Backed by a cadre of instructors, the duo strives to create a space where kids can freely express themselves through gymnastics and musical theater and can elaborate tap-dance routines that summon the ghost of Fred Astaire. California Arts Academy was also named Favorite for Children's Dance Classes, Art Classes, and Live Theater by the readers of Central California Parent magazine from 2012 to 2014. Not content to just offer classes, the Academy holds semiannual auditions for their performances.
