About California Junior Lifeguard Programs Inc
"Guiding youth down a positive path"—that's the slogan and goal of California Junior Lifeguard Programs Inc. It's had plenty of practice. For 30 years and counting, the organization has been training young people to be junior lifeguards on the beaches of Southern California. Participants in the one or three-week program learn skills such as CPR, rescue techniques, and ocean safety and increase their skills in swimming, surfing, and bodyboarding. The result: an increase in professionals dedicated to safety at the beach and appreciation for nature.
