- $25 for beer-festival admission for one ($35 value)
On Saturday, October 10, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., sample the state’s craft beers while enjoying Lake Michigan vistas. Admission includes free parking and eight tokens, each of which is redeemable for a 4-ounce beer sample. Additional tokens will be available for purchase.
It may be best known for its mitten shape, but Michigan is also gaining notoriety as a craft-beer mecca. Lakeshore Brew Fest is further proof of that. Hundreds of craft-beer lovers will descend on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan for the festival, where they can enjoy live musical performances and flavorful cuisine. However, the fest's focus is on local libations, so it will offer drinks from several area producers, including cider from People’s Cider Co. and beer from B.O.B.'s Brewery, New Holland Brewing, and Saugatuck Brewing. All proceeds from Lakeshore Brew Fest go to Camp Blodgett, a nearly 100-year-old organization providing Kent County's youth with after-school programs and summer-camp adventures, among other activities.
