What You'll Get
For children, trick-or-treating is not just fun—it also teaches them valuable skills that come in handy during later employment as door-to-door vacuum saleswomen, time-traveling milkmen, or professional knock-knock-joke-tellers. Harness Halloweening for positive life lessons with today’s Groupon: for $6, you get two tickets to Camp Cute 'n Spooky (a $12 value) at Discoveryland!, located in Sand Springs. Camp Cute 'n Spooky is open October 22, 23, 29, and 30—all Fridays or Saturdays—from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Both children and adults need tickets to enter.
Camp Cute 'n Spooky is a night of non-scary Halloween hijinkery and hootenanniness for children ages 10 and under. Discoveryland! staffers and volunteers bring the haunting holiday to life through activities such as the Monster Mash Dance Stage, Spooky’s Fun Maze, and The Enchanted Forest, a scare-free trick-or-treat trail populated by lovable but non-edible costumed characters. Kiddies can get their own faces painted, or they can step behind the paintbrush to adorn the face of a pumpkin. At the Tent Theatre, the production Dorothy and the Scarecrow gives kids an appreciation for higher arts and anti-bird agricultural defenses. Other activities include a petting zoo and free pony rides.
Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes, and tykes and adults alike can wash down candy with concessions enjoyed around a blazing bonfire (concessions not included with this deal). Concession treats include hot dogs, cowboy tacos, s’mores, fried Oreos, and the classic Halloween handout of chopped-beef sandwiches.
