What You'll Get
Without quality time together, fathers and their sons grow increasingly distant, and eventually only communicate by flinging burned pieces of toast at each other. Nurture a warmer bond with this Groupon.

- Dorm-style lodging, meals, and outdoor activities included
- Arrive at Camp Eagle on Friday, April 13, between 5 and 7 p.m.

Camp Eagle’s weekend retreats summon fathers and sons to Camp Eagle’s adventure-filled locale to enjoy outdoor activities and spiritually fortifying talks. A buffet dinner greets duos upon arrival before a Christian speaker greets guests with a welcoming talk. Later, a sizable bonfire’s flames lick s’mores as pairs sip on coffee-shop treats or speed down the dual 850-foot zipline in tandem. Saturday’s hearty breakfast fuels a day of activities such as wobble-trap skeet shooting and kayaking. Campers rappel down limestone cliffs, explore caves, and cast reels in a fishing tournament. A steak cookout concludes Saturday night, and on Sunday morning, breakfast and a closing session send better-bonded pairs on their way.<p>

About Camp Eagle
Nestled amid limestone cliffs and hiking trails, Camp Eagle hosts life-changing outings that fuse outdoor activities with Christian messages that help parents navigate tough issues. The camp hosts a wide range of activities on its 1,400 acres, from small-group Eagle Quest backpacking trips to group retreats on the Nueces River and extreme-adventure events. Campers can take quiet hikes through the woods, sip fresh brews in the lodge-style coffee shop, try their hand at mountain boarding, or fly off The Blob—an enormous inflatable pillow that catapults jumpers into the river. Events hosted on the grounds feature leaders and sessions who inspire campers to lead Christlike lives, and the camp itself is a nondenominational, nonprofit organization. After days spent bonding over air hockey in the game room or re-enacting The Birds while shooting clay pigeons, visitors return to hotel or lodge-style accommodations.
