What You'll Get
Dream teams don’t get much dreamier than the lineup of the newly formed Montrose Trio. Pianist Jon Kimura Parker joins violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith for a program of Beethoven and Brahms, plus the Baltimore premiere of James Lee III’s Piano Trio No. 2, Temple Visions. An acclaimed veteran of the international concert stage, Parker is known for both his supreme skill and stage presence or, as one admirer put it, for combining “the technique of Vladimir Horowitz with … the stage personality of Elton John.” Equally respected are Beaver and Greensmith, alumni of the legendary Tokyo String Quartet, where they played Stradivarius instruments once owned by Paganini. Now these musicians unite as one of today’s most anticipated chamber ensembles. Catch the Montrose Trio when they come to Baltimore’s Shriver Hall.
