Twenty-two-year-old Chinese-American pianist Conrad Tao comes to the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts for a program including Bach, Rachmaninoff and Mussorgsky. Called “the most exciting prodigy to ever come my way” by Musical America, Tao performs with “fiery panache” (The New York Times) and “aggressive charm (with) flashes of genuine wisdom” (New York Magazine). In 2012, he was hailed as one of the most promising American pianists of the new generation by the Gilmore Young Artist Award. Already touting an impressive career as an international soloist, Tao is also an award-winning violinist, an accomplished composer and scholar.
