What You'll Get

Acclaimed Italian-born tenor Pasquale Esposito celebrates the life and career of countryman Enrico Caruso in this touring production based on Esposito’s new PBS documentary concert special, Voice of a Legend. With a personality as big as his commanding voice, Caruso became one of the first international musical superstars in the early 20th century by appearing more than 800 times at The Met and releasing several best-selling recordings of famous arias from well-known operas. Pop-opera star Esposito’s released seven CDs and recently made his San Francisco Opera debut in Two Women, which led the Chronicle to describe him as a “charismatic and dulcet-toned” singer. He brings his Caruso salute to the stage of the historic Nourse Theater, accompanied by the Mission Chamber Orchestra and conductor Emily Ray.
