What You'll Get
Northern Virginia j.talks’ annual Book Fest kicks off with a visit from Elyssa Friedland, whose novel Love and Miss Communication explores romance in the digital age. When Evie Rosen realizes that her personal memory card is way too full of selfies, hashtags and online breakups, she cuts the cord and tosses her smartphone, leaving her alert to some new and exciting possibilities. Friedland is a Yale and Columbia graduate and a former attorney, whose debut book has been featured by Cosmo, InStyle and Glamour magazines. Admission to this event at the JCC of Northern Virginia in Fairfax includes a post-talk reception.
