In Collette Rutherford's adaptation of classic Greek comedy The Frogs, you'll meet boozy, spoiled socialite, Dionysus (a woman in this incarnation), who's traveling to Hades with her trusty slave Xanthias on a mission to save Athenian theater. Along the way, they meet a slew of colorful characters -- including Hercules, the dead and the undead. They finally arrive in Hades only to find that an argument is being waged between Aeschylus and Euripides over who's the better playwright. Hilarity ensues as Dionysus presides over a contest of wits and half-wits to crown the winner. Find out which one is ultimately up to the challenge of saving Athens when this comedy comes to L.A.'s Meta Theatre.
