What You'll Get
Since it was first performed in 1951 as a TV special, Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors has become an annual holiday tradition. The English-language opera tells the enchanting story of a poor shepherd boy and his mother, who experience a Christmas miracle when they are paid a visit by three wise kings who are on their way to see the newborn Christ child. This fully staged musical drama is appropriate for all ages and is a special way to celebrate the holiday season with your family. Be sure to catch it at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts of Coweta County, featuring soprano Indra Thomas and the Newnan High School Chorale.
