One of the many untold stories of WWII is that of “comfort stations” – where approximately 200,000 women and young teenagers from across Asia were forced into sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army. These women’s stories come to life on stage in Comfort Women: A New Musical, which was inspired by testimonies from the women survivors. Now Feinstein’s/54 Below hosts a reunion concert version of the show with the original off-Broadway cast. After selling out its first show, the Asian and Asian-American cast of Comfort Women returns for an encore performance.
