Boston's Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra commemorates the 100-year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide with two profoundly moving works from Armenian composers. Hovhannes' Prayer of St. Gregory is a moving, powerful prayer featuring Dana Russian, Pro Arte's principal trumpeter. You'll also hear the East Coast premiere of Tigran Mansurian's Concerto for Violin and Cello, featuring guest soloists Ruggero Allifranchini on violin and Suren Bagratuni on cello, along with Beethoven's masterful Symphony No. 3, Eroica. This show, at First Baptist Church in Newton, will be led by Pro Arte's principal conductor Kevin Rhodes.
