The Twin Cities' own Zenon Dance Company is one of the country's most acclaimed troupes, famed for its fearless and exciting blend of modern and jazz dance. They'll kick off their 33rd season with a pair of world premieres, by New York's award-winning post-modern choreographer Joanna Kotze, and another by Stefanie Batten Bland, who created her Mediterranean-influenced piece as the company was ensconced in Cassis, France for their recent residency. The dancers themselves are also known for their technical virtuosity and artistic grace, which are sure to be on full display at Minneapolis' Cowles Center for Dance and Performing Arts.
