What You'll Get
Famed for its warm and interactive stage-free musical experience, Le Salon de Musiques features chamber music in an intimate environment -- the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This concert pays homage to three genius Romantic masters -- Mendelssohn, Bruch and Moszkovsky -- with a program of works for string quartet and piano. Hear them played by a talented quintet consisting of Martin Chalifour, ConcertMaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Tereza Stanislav on violin, Rob Brophy on viola, John Waltz, Principal Cellist of the Los Angeles Opera, and Robert Thies on piano. Le Salon de Musiques's musicologist, Kristi Brown-Montesano, will be on hand to introduce and give context to the works, and after the performance, you're invited to join the musicians for a Q&A and a reception featuring champagne and a gourmet high-tea buffet catered by Patina.
