San Diego's favorite horn quintet, Presidio Brass, look to the silver screen for their latest concert, Sounds of the Cinema. One of the groups most popular programs, Presidio Brass' ode to film music includes the James Bond theme, selections from Fantasia, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles, and even Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" (the rock classic heard in Wayne's World). Plus, their take on Star Wars is so pitch perfect, you'll expect Darth Vader to appear at the Irving Arts Center any moment with an offer to join the dark side. These five guys have been playing together for almost a decade, and have performed with major symphony orchestras as well as shared the stage with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Quincy Jones and many more.
