When Steve Martin, the Emmy- and Grammy-winning wizard of wit, imagines a meeting between two of history's greatest minds, the result is nothing short of genius: Picasso at the Lapin Agile. In this hilarious and thought-provoking play, two aspiring twenty-somethings named Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso hang out at the same gritty Parisian bistro. In his first comedy for the stage, Martin plays fast and loose with facts, fame and fortune as the two geniuses muse on the century's achievements, as well as other fanciful topics with infectious dizziness. Laura Espy directs Martin's long-running off-Broadway absurdist comedy Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Watertown's Arsenal Center for the Arts.
Steve Martin does not appear in this production.
