Michael Morgan, the internationally acclaimed music director of the Oakland Symphony, joins the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony for a performance at Everett Middle School in San Francisco. Joseph Johnson, principal cellist of the Toronto Symphony, sits in as the soloist for this concert which features Dvorak's famed Cello Concerto, Kalinnikov's Symphony No. 1, and Music for a Forgotten City by local composer Joseph Stillwell. This evening of classical music comes as part of BARS' LGBTQ Composer and Performing Artist Series, which strives to redefine perceptions and increase awareness of the beauty, talents and accomplishments of fellow LGBTQ individuals and groups.
