Light, shadow, framing, lens size -- depending on what choices an architectural photographer makes, the same building might appear to be a beautiful historic monument or a haunted mansion. In Picturing Buildings: Line versus Atmosphere, National Building Museum curator Chrysanthe Broikos sits down with three of Washington, D.C.'s most acclaimed architectural photographers to discuss their craft. Colin Winterbottom, Maxwell Mackenzie and Walter Smalling will discuss their approaches to the medium, which range from strict documentary and commercial work to artistic interpretations of space. This FotoWeekDC event takes place at the beautiful Former Spanish Ambassador's Residence.
