The British enjoy a popular holiday tradition that has its fans in the United States as well: the panto. Short for "pantomime," a panto takes a traditional fairy tale and adds a uniquely British to it, complete with songs, dances, jokes, exaggerated characters and lots of audience participation. City Theatre at Sacramento City College has been producing holiday pantos for eight years running, and this year they're doing Peter Pan. Join the Dame Tankerbell, and our friend Buttons, as they tell the tale of perpetual boy Peter Pan, his friends the Darling children, and Peter's arch nemesis, Captain Hook. It's fun and frolic for the whole family.
All ages are encouraged.
