Seattle's McCaw Hall welcomes the much-anticipated return of Emergence from renowned Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite. Created for the National Ballet of Canada in 2009, this award-winning piece mimics the movement of insects as metaphors for human behavior. The rest of the program is similarly breathtaking, including the spellbinding solo The Calling, as well as a flurry of ice-blue tutus in Kiyon Gaines' Sum Stravinsky. You'll also see Signature, a world premiere by PNB's Price Suddarth, which is set to a new composition by Seattle composer Barret Anspach (brother of PNB dancer Jessika Anspach).
Running time is approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes, including two 20-minute intermissions.
