This ain't your grandpa's Wizard of Oz -- this is a wild, imaginative and beautiful new take on the iconic folktale from L. Frank Baum. In this OZ, young Dorothy Gale, who's spent most of her life on the tiny farm of her aunt and uncle, finds her life turned upside-down by some significant winds of change. Now, in a world on the brink of war, she must form new friendships and fight for everything she holds dear. With an emphasis on the story's darker undercurrents, as well as its more romantic and humorous elements, this Lamb's Players Theatre premiere of the new musical OZ is a special part of Coronado's 125 Year Celebration.
This show features some creatures and effects that may frighten younger children — the show is recommended for ages 7 and older.
