Pasadena's own Mickey Gilley -- ACM-winning country music legend, successful entrepreneur and all-around entertainer -- comes to Houston's Arena Theatre for a concert in-the-round filled with music, laughter and more. Though Gilley charted 17 No. 1 hits over the course of his long career, he's probably best known for his association with the hit John Travolta movie Urban Cowboy, which not only filmed at his successful Texas honky-tonk, but also featured his huge crossover hit "Stand by Me" on its soundtrack. The original Gilley's, with its famed mechanical bull, burned down in 1990, but the club's still going strong in Dallas, Vegas and elsewhere, and Gilley has his own super-successful theater in Branson, as well as a line of barbeque products. He'll sing some of his signature tunes, which include "Room Full of Roses," "Don't the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time," "Fool for Your Love" and more, and share some classic videos and great stories at this special show.
