Before the Stonewall Riots of 1969, gay life in America wasn't discussed much, but it was certainly part and parcel of this country. In The Twentieth-Century Way, a unique and complicated aspect of gay life is explored through the story of a pair of actors who join forces with the police department in a dubious scheme to entrap Southern California's gay community. Actors Will Bradley and Robert Mammana portray every role in this adult-oriented play, lending it an air of mystery and trepidation that would have been fitting during the 1914 setting. And while the play is set more than a century ago, aspects from it touch our lives to this day.
