Independent filmmakers of the Northwest are the focus of this annual film festival, where you'll see the rich work of media artists from Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington up on the big screen. This year's Northwest Filmmakers' Festival presents more than 45 short and feature films, selected by guest festival judge and professor Steve Anker. Features like: Courtney Coulson's Welcome to the Circus, a portrait of a mobile, cross-cultural circus for children in Palestine; Ian Berry's uncovering of the curious impact of country music on the island of St. Lucia in Make Mine Country; Sasha Snow's Hadwin's Judgement, which focuses on the drama behind the removal of British Columbia's largest and oldest trees; and more, including three full programs of shorts. Celebrate the best of regional film at the Northwest Film Center's annual showcase.
