Jazz singer Ann Hampton Callaway returns to NYC's Feinstein's/54 Below for her annual Thanksgiving week showcase, an evening of classic jazz and pop standards that focus on unique female perspective on love, life and the pursuit of happiness. For the show, titled Feminine Persuasion: Ann Hampton Callaway Celebrates Women Songwriters, Callaway has selected songs by Carole King ("Will You Love Me Tomorrow"), Dorothy Fields ("The Way You Look Tonight") and Billie Holiday ("God Bless the Child"), but the repertoire doesn't end there. Songs by Callaway's personal friends Michelle Brourman and Amanda McBroom, as well as Joni Mitchell and Cynthia Weil, are also on the docket. The highlight of the evening, though, is the moment Callaway takes to the piano and sings some of her original numbers, accompanied as always by her winning trio of Ted Rosenthal, Martin Wind and Tim Horner. Don't miss this opportunity to kick off your holiday season with style.
