What You'll Get
In Argentinian drama film Tango Glories, a psychiatrist turns to the language of the tango to build a connection with Fermin -- an isolated, depressed octogenarian in his care. As the connection between the two deepens, we're transported back to the Buenos Aires of the 1940s, where Fermin navigated love and betrayal as one of the city's most popular tango dancers. Come to the D.C. Jewish Cultural Center early for a pre-film dance demonstration from the Tango Mercurio dance studio, and stay late for a Q&A with director Oliver Kolker followed by a dance social at 18th Street Lounge.
