There are a lot of detailers on Groupon advertising Ceramic/Graphine Coatings. But they're not applying the actual product. They're using a spray wax or a cheap wax that's labeled Ceramic/Graphine Coating. The real Coatings comes in a glass bottle and hardens like glass when applied. This process takes anywhere from 6-8 hours depending on the vehicle. Also there is maintenance involved to get the manufacturer 5 year rating. This involves using a specific car wash soap and also using a Ceramic/Graphine spray wax in between washes. Using the incorrect products can cause the Coatings life to be shortened. Please do your research to make sure this is for you. I highly recommend for newer vehicles to maintain that new car appearance. Also any vehicle that's driven in winter elements or kept outside yearly. 

The process off applying the Graphine Coating is a long one. 

-First your vehicle will be washed using a special soap that strips all the old wax or sealants off the surface of the paint. Giving a fresh surface 

-Second your vehicle will be clay bared to remove any decontamination from the surface of the paint. This helps remove anything left from the washing of the vehicle 

-Third your vehicle will be buffed to remove any imperfections in the paint. Removing light surface scratches. This will produce a glass like surface. 

-Fourth the Graphine Coating is applied and allowed to cure. Than it will be buffed again to bring it to a high Gloss finish. 

Your vehicle CAN NOT get wet for at least 24 hours to allow the Graphine Coating to cure. This Coating bonds with the paint. It creates a glass-like film that will last for at least 5 years.
