About Cantina Pasadita
Though it's related to La Pasadita, a chain of taquerias that doles out tacos and giant burritos, Cantina Pasadita specializes in upscale Mexican food. Eclectic dishes range from a shrimp-stuffed half pineapple to the Parrillada Cantina, a platter of Mexican-style steak, chicken, and smoked sausage. Even the burgers get some Latin flavor—instead of a bun, the quesadilla burger is wrapped in two quesadillas.
And unlike a neighborhood taco joint, Cantina Pasadita has a cavernous ceiling, spacious, horseshoe-shaped leather booths, and a stone fireplace. Ample light spills in from the nearly floor-to-ceiling windows which, in warmer weather, overlook a sidewalk patio. But in a nod to its taco-joint relations, Cantina Pasadita serves food after midnight, sating party-goers and those who stay up late to feed their baby plants every few hours.
