Q:

How do you know what is a 1/4 load and a half load?

Mark L.  asked on  Mar 10, 2013

A:

Hi Mark, Great question! The dimensions of the bin on our full service trucks are 12 ft long x 8 ft wide x 6 ft high. To give you a visual, approximately 3 standard refridgerators fill a 1/4 of the truck. Hope this helps....anything else, just ask!

Q:

I have 900 square feet of tile to be removed. Can this fit in a half load? Or are there separate provisions for these types of materials.

Brock M.  asked on  Mar 10, 2013

A:

Good question ..tile falls under our heavy and dense pricing with is calculated differently than our normal pricing A half load size of heavy or dense materials in not the same as a full load size of regular junk. The dimensions for a full heavy or dense materials load is 6’ feet Long x 4 feet’ Wide x 6" inches High. I hope this helps , if you have any other questions feel free to give our office a call

More Questions and Answers

Q:

What is the cost if I am over the 1/2 load limit?

Jackson W.  asked on  Mar 14, 2013

A:

HI Jackson, thanks again for the question. There really is no limit on the Groupon in the sense that you can for sure have more removed and the value of the Groupon will be removed from your total. For instance if you have a full load of items to be removed at a cost of $468, we would take off the values of the Groupon at $328 and you would pay the difference of $140. So in total you would pay $287.00 for a full load. Please let me know if I explained this okay or if you have any other questions.

Q:

Is drywall considered a dense material load?

Jackson W.  asked on  Mar 14, 2013

A:

Hi Jackson, thanks so much for your question. Normally drywall is in with a mixture of other renovation materials and then it would be considered a regular load. When the material is just drywall, the weight gets to be a little higher and because of the weight restriction on the truck we have to calculate the volume a little differently so it would be considered heavy and dense material.

Q:

Does the bin come off the truck ... is it possible to leave it in our driveway for half a day?

Heather R.  asked on  Mar 13, 2013

A:

Hi Heather, thanks so much for your question. Unfortunately the bin does not come off the truck, the team arrives with the truck and removes all the items and loads them onto the truck for you. We do have a bin rental service that we offer starting up again in April where we leave the bin for you but the Groupon does not apply to that service. Please don't hesitate to contact Capital Junk if you have any other questions.

Q:

Hi! Question 1) Would a standard Ikea couch be considered a 1/4 load or a 1/2 load? Question 2) Do you remove composte bin? I have a bin (approx. 4 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet) of composte/soil, a bit heavier than normal because of the composte turned into soil. Does that fit within the Groupon deal offered? Thank you!

Maryam H.  asked on  Mar 11, 2013

A:

Hi Maryam! To give you an idea of our 1/4 load, it could fit approximately 3 standard fridges. You would be safe getting the 1/4 load Groupon with a standard couch. As for the soil, this would fall into our heavy and dense category so it is a little different than our regular pricing. A full load of heavy or dense materials is 6' feet x 4' feet x 6" inches high. Feel free to give our office a call if you have anymore questions!
