Capital SUP DC offers water sports experiences on the Anacostia River. Stand up paddleboard, kayak, and pedalboard rentals are the most popular services. We also teach stand up paddleboard lessons and lead group tours along the Capitol Riverfront! We stand out from the competition by providing Positive Vibes to every customer that we put on the water!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

The inspiration to expand Capital SUP into Washington DC came from wanting to provide easy access and connectivity to the water for Washington DC residents and visitors. To create an affordable outdoor activity that all demographics of people can enjoy!

What do you love most about your job?

The favorite part of my job is creating a connection between the water and our customers. Also, providing a lifestyle and a community where outdoor enthusiasts have an outlet to go to.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

Recently we had a lady who had never been on the water and wanted to try something new. We put her on a pedalboard, which is a great option for beginners. She took off like a rocket and came back with the biggest smile on her face. She now comes weekly to get her pedalboard workout in!
