Boston's Emmanuel Episcopal Church provides the perfect acoustic environment for Cappella Clausura's vocal ensemble and chamber orchestra as they surround you with the sounds of sacred chants from medieval times through the present day. Led by director Amelia LeClair, this acclaimed performance and recording group is dedicated to the work of women composers throughout history, and for this concert they'll sing works by the Medieval era's Hildegard von Bingen and Arvo Pärt, the Renaissance music of Italian nun Raffaella Aleotti, and contemporary works by German composer Erna Woll.
