About Cardiac Diagnostic and Wellness Imaging

The centerpiece of Cardiac Diagnostic Imaging is the Light Speed VCT, a 64-slice CT imaging system that snaps high-resolution diagnostic images to safely screen for myriad diseases and injuries. The system can check for spinal injuries and heart disease, liver, kidneys, and lungs. While it scans bodies, it exposes patients to the same minimal radiation as a mammogram.

An experienced team of board-certified radiologists helms the machine, drawing on more than 20 years of experience to read its results. Two days after the imaging, patients are presented with reports on their prevention and treatment options. Based out of Harbor-UCLA in the Division of Cardiology, the innovative team was one of the first to offer outpatient CT scans, and they continue to stay apprised of the latest technologies and practices.
